Our Client is a leading Malaysian bakery manufacturer specializing in premium cakes, pastries, breads, and frozen bakery products for the retail, food service, and hospitality industries. Key Responsibilities
Key Account Management & Project Follow-ups
- Manage and maintain relationships with key customers including cafés, bakeries,
retailers, distributors, and food service clients. - Act as the main point of contact for assigned accounts, handling enquiries, quotations,
samples, and order follow-ups. - Coordinate closely with production, operations, logistics, and finance teams to ensure
timely delivery and smooth order execution. - Monitor customer satisfaction and address issues related to product quality, delivery,
or service. - Support long-term partnerships by understanding customer needs and business
objectives.
Market Expansion & New Business Development
- Identify and support opportunities for new customers, channels, and markets (local and
- export).
- Work with internal teams to propose and develop new SKUs based on market demand
and customer requirements. - Support onboarding of new customers including product trials, sampling, and initial
order processing. - Conduct basic market research, competitor analysis, and pricing benchmarking for
frozen cake products. - Gather market insights and customer feedback to support business strategy.
Product Development & OEM Project Support
- Coordinate new product development (NPD) and OEM/private label projects between
customers and internal teams (R&D, production, QCQA). - Track project timelines, specifications, costing, packaging requirements, and
approvals. - Ensure customer requirements comply with food safety, quality, and manufacturing
capabilities. - Support product launches and commercialisation of new SKUs.
Marketing and Sales Support
- Support marketing activities such as product launches, promotions, exhibitions, and food fairs.
- Coordinate preparation of sales and marketing materials including catalogues,
brochures, price lists, and presentations. - Assist with social media content coordination and brand visibility initiatives where
required. - Provide sales support for customer presentations, meetings, and negotiations.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Sales, Marketing, R&D, Production, QCQA, Supply Chain, and
Finance teams. - Ensure alignment between sales commitments and operational capabilities.
- Prepare basic sales reports, project updates, and management presentations.
- Support ad-hoc tasks related to business growth and strategic initiatives.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Food Science, or related fields.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in business development, sales support, or marketing roles.
- Strong follow-up discipline to ensure project timelines, customer requests, and deliverables
are met. - Clear and professional communication with both internal stakeholders and external
customers. - Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially: Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
- Experience in supporting marketing activities through social media platforms is an added advantage.
- Skills in handling customers enquiries, complaints, revision and follow-ups.
- Strong relationship-building skills to maintain long-terms business partnership.
- Confident in conducting customers meeting, tastings and product presentations.
- Marketing coordination on social media content planning related to product launches and
promotions. - Proactive, responsible, and solution-oriented mindset.
