About the client:

Our client is a leading merchant commerce omnichannel platform across India and Southeast Asia. They build and host a roster of fintech products, from digital payments to loyalty solutions. (e.g POS terminals or payment systems).

They are seeking a results-driven Inside Sales Executive to join the Digital Sales team. 

In this role, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end digital merchant acquisition journey, from qualifying inbound digital leads to ensuring successful terminal activation and early-stage engagement. 

You will serve as the primary point of contact for merchants who have expressed interest through our digital platforms, focusing on high conversion rates and exceptional first impressions.

Key Responsibilities: 

Lead Qualification & Digital Onboarding:

  • Execute outbound calls to qualify leads generated through digital channels (website, social media, and ads) within defined SLAs.
  • Guide merchants through the onboarding & KYC procedures, including merchant visits where necessary to ensure account or product activation is completed successfully.
  • Provide remote guidance and tutorials on how to use payment terminals or digital products effectively.

Merchant Engagement & Conversion:

  • Create a positive first impression for digital prospects by maintaining a friendly, professional, and persuasive tone. 
  • Identify specific merchant needs or business challenges during the initial consultation to provide relevant assistance or product recommendations.

Documentation, Insights & Feedback:

  • Accurately record all call outcomes, merchant feedback, and conversion statuses for further action.
  • Collect direct feedback and suggestions from merchants regarding the digital onboarding experience to help optimize the user journey.
  • Prepare weekly reports summarizing call performance, recurring merchant issues, and service trends within the digital channel.

Requirements:

  • Communication: Strong verbal communication and active listening skills are essential.
  • Customer Centricity: A keen interest in understanding merchant challenges and a passion for solving them. 
  • Language Proficiency: Fluency in English, Malay and Mandarin or Cantonese is required.
  • Accuracy: High attention to detail regarding data accuracy and documentation.
  • Ownership: A strong sense of ownership is essential in helping to shape this function for future growth.
